TELEGARD 3.09 DEVELOPMENT KIT RELEASE KINGSTON, ONTARIO - November 5, 1997 - The first Telegard 3.10 development kit will be released on Thursday, November 6, 1997. This development package is a complete tool for all third party utility developers, and encompasses all the information required to do any development for Telegard 3.10 (3.09 Gamma-1). This is the first development kit for the 3.09 gamma 1 version of Telegard 3.10. As we move toward the final 3.10 release, another development kit will be released. The package contains both C and Turbo Pascal header files which outline the internal and some external data structures, as well as a comprehensive development document. The structures are laid out and commented so that quick reference to just the structure file should be sufficient for most advanced programmers. The development documentation contains a complete listing of all the data files and structures, with helpful access information and other specific areas of note or caution. Also outlined are several other general programming concepts, including methods of handling indexing, multinode and multilingual support. The development documentation also contains a guide to third party utility development covering aspects of product release packages, methods of distribution and probable markets. The development kit will be released into the Fidonet SDN area TG_SUP, and should be available from most of our beta/distribution sites. In addition, you can find the file at our primary ftp site (ftp://telegard.net/pub/tg). The filename is TGDEV309.ZIP, and the file is ~75K. Thanks for your interest in Telegard 3.10 (3.09.g1), Telegard Development Team
